Technical conditions.
This standard applies to ready to use oil paints , which are a suspension of pigments (or pigments and fillers) in various drying oils with the introduction of a drier, as well as additives (aerosil, lecithin, etc.) that prevent the formation of a dense sediment, or without them.

Ready-to-use oil paints are intended for exterior and interior finishing works(except for painting floors) and for painting metal and wooden products .
Oil paint coatings for external work (in two layers on metal) must retain protective properties in temperate climate within a year.
Paints are applied to the surface with a brush, paint sprayer or roller.
The requirements of this standard are mandatory.

1.1. Ready-to-use oil paints, depending on the type of film-forming substance and their purpose, should be produced in the following grades indicated in Table 1.

Technical requirements.
2.1. Ready to use oil paints must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard according to recipes and technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
2.2. Ready-to-use oil paints should be produced following colors:
Cream, beige, dark gray, light blue, light blue, dark yellow, pistachio, green, red-brown, dark red, brown - for external coatings;
Cream, orange-beige, beige, dark gray, light blue, blue, blue, dark yellow, yellow-green, pistachio, green, red, cherry, red-brown, brown, light gray-green, light gray , light beige, pink-beige - for indoor coatings.
2.3*. Depending on the brands and colors of paints, OKP codes are given in Table 1a.

1. When paints thicken, it is allowed to dilute them with white spirit (Nefras C4-155/200) in an amount of no more than 5%, after which the viscosity of the paints must correspond to clause 4 of Table 2.

Security requirements.
2a.1. Oil paints, ready for use, are toxic and flammable materials, which is due to the properties of the substances included in their composition.
During the production of paints, dust of lead compounds and white spirit vapor (nefras S4-155/200) is released into the air, the content of which must be monitored at the workplace in accordance with GOST 12.1.007.
Solvent vapors have irritant effect on the mucous membranes of the eyes, respiratory tract, skin. Lead compounds cause changes in nervous system, blood, vessels, can accumulate in the body.
The dried coating has no effect harmful effects per person.

2a.3. During production, testing, and use of paints, the requirements must be met fire safety according to GOST 12.3.005.
2a.4. All work related to the production and paint testing, must be carried out indoors with constantly running local and general supply and exhaust ventilation according to GOST 12.4.021, ensuring the cleanliness of the air in the working area of industrial premises, the content of harmful substances in which should not exceed the established limits permissible concentrations according to GOST 12.1.005.

2a.5. To extinguish a fire, use: sand, felt, carbon dioxide, water in a fine spray, chemical or air-mechanical foam from stationary installations or fire extinguishers.
2a.6. Persons associated with the manufacture and use of paints must be provided with special clothing and means personal protection according to GOST 12.4.011.
Pastes of the “biological gloves” type are used for hands.
2a.7. In paint production solid, liquid and gaseous wastes are generated, which can cause air and water pollution.
In order to protect the atmospheric air from pollution by emissions of solvent vapors, constant monitoring of compliance with maximum permissible emissions (MPE) in accordance with GOST 17.2.3.02 must be organized.

Acceptance rules.
3.1. Paint acceptance rules - according to GOST 9980.1.

Test methods.
4.1a. Sampling - according to GOST 9980.2.
4.1. Preparing samples for testing
Film color, drying time, film resistance to static exposure to water, conditional light fastness are determined on plates measuring 70x150 mm made of steel grades 08kp and 08ps with a thickness of 0.5-1.0 mm according to GOST 16523 or cold-rolled steel grade 08kp according to GOST 9045 or black hot-rolled sheet metal 0.25-0.32 mm thick. The hiding power and hardness of the film are determined on glass for photographic plates measuring 9x12-1.2 according to TU 21-0284461-058. The mass fraction of volatile and film-forming substances, the degree of grinding, and viscosity are determined in undiluted paint. In case of increase paint viscosity above the norm when diluting the paint with white spirit (nefras - C4-155/200) in an amount of no more than 5%, the conditional viscosity must correspond to clause 4 of table 2.
Before testing, the paint is mixed, diluted with white spirit (Nefras-S4-155/200) (GOST 3134) to a viscosity of 65-80 s using a VZ-246 (or VZ-4) viscometer, filtered through a sieve with a mesh 056 GOST 6613 and applied with a brush onto plates prepared in accordance with GOST 8832, section 3. To determine the drying time and hardness, the paint is applied in one layer, to determine the resistance of the film to the static effects of water and conditional light fastness - in two layers. When determining the color, the paint is applied until the substrate is completely covered. Every layer of paint dried at (20±2) °C for 24 hours. When determining the conditional light fastness, the first layer of paint is dried at (20±2) °C for 24 hours, the second - at (20±2) °C for 120 hours.
The thickness of a single-layer coating after drying should be 25-30 microns, a double-layer coating - 50-60 microns.

4.2. Dried color paint films determined by visual comparison with the color of the corresponding samples (standards) of the “Card Index” color or control color samples in natural or artificial daylight scattered light. The samples being compared should be in the same plane at a distance of 300-500 mm from the observer’s eyes at a viewing angle that excludes surface gloss. In case of disagreement in the assessment, the determination of color in natural daylight is taken as the final result.

4.3. Mass fraction of film-forming substance and volatile substances in paint determined according to GOST 17537. The solvent used is acetone (GOST 2768) or a mixture of acetone and ethyl alcohol (GOST 17299) in a ratio of 3:2 by volume, or toluene (GOST 9880).
When determining the mass fraction of a volatile substance, a sample of the test paint weighing 1.5-2 g is placed in drying cabinet and maintained at a temperature of (140±2) °C. The first weighing is carried out after 1.5 hours of exposure in the cabinet, and subsequent weighings are carried out every 30 minutes until constant weight.
It is allowed to determine the mass fraction of a volatile substance under an infrared lamp at a temperature of (140±2) °C.
In case of disagreement in the assessment of the mass fraction of volatile substances, the final result is determination in an oven.

4.4. Conditional paint viscosity determined using a viscometer type VZ-246 (or VZ-4) with a nozzle diameter of 4 mm.

4.7. Drying time to degree 3 is determined according to GOST 19007, and it is possible to remove the paper with a light brush or by blowing it off without damaging the film.

4.9. The use of mercury-quartz lamps DRT-375, PRK-2 is allowed. Samples from the lamp are placed at a distance of (350±5) mm. Steady lamp mode: voltage - (120±6) V, current - (3.75±0.25) A.
Irradiation of the film is carried out for the time specified in subparagraph 9, table 2.
Irradiated samples are examined with the naked eye and compared with non-irradiated samples. Slight discoloration and slight matting are acceptable. paint films.

4.10. The resistance of the film to the static effects of water is determined according to GOST 9.403, section 2. 6.1. The manufacturer guarantees that ready-to-use oil paints comply with the requirements of this standard, subject to storage and transportation conditions.

Method of application of oil and alkyd paints, ready for use, intended for retail trade networks
Oil paints, ready for use, are used for exterior and interior finishing works (except for painting floors) and for painting metal and wooden products.
Before application, mix the paint thoroughly. To thin the paint, if necessary, use gasoline solvent for the paint and varnish industry, thinner for oil paints, and turpentine.
The paint is applied with a brush or roller in an even layer on a dry surface, previously cleaned of grease, dust, dirt and old peeling paint, in one or two layers. Drying time for each layer at (20±2) °C is 24 hours.
Paint consumption for single-layer coatings is 55-240 g/m depending on the color.
Paints are stored in a tightly closed container, protecting from moisture, heat and direct sun rays.
Precautionary measures: when carrying out painting work, as well as after its completion, it is necessary to thoroughly ventilate the room; Use rubber gloves to protect your hands.

The manufacturer of MA-15 paint, according to GOST 10503-71, recommends mixing the paint thoroughly. 2a. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
2a.1. Oil paints, ready for use, are toxic and flammable materials, which is due to the properties of the substances included in their composition.
During the production of paints, dust containing lead compounds and white spirit vapor (Nefrasa-S4-155/200) is released into the air, the content of which must be monitored at the workplace in accordance with GOST 12.1.007–76.
Solvent vapors have an irritating effect on the mucous membranes of the eyes, respiratory tract, and skin. Lead compounds cause changes in the nervous system, blood, blood vessels, and can accumulate in the body.
The dried coating has no harmful effects on humans.
2a.2. The fire hazard and toxicity characteristics of the components are given in Table. 3.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. Paint acceptance rules - according to GOST 9980.1–80.

4. TEST METHODS
4.1a. Sampling - according to GOST 9980.2–86.
4.1. Preparing samples for testing
Film color, drying time, film resistance to static exposure to water, conditional light fastness are determined on plates measuring 70 x 150 mm made of steel grades 08kp and 08ps with a thickness of 0.5 - 1.0 mm according to GOST 16523–89 or cold-rolled steel grade 08kp according to GOST 9045–80 or from black hot-rolled sheet metal with a thickness of 0.25 - 0.32 mm. The hiding power and hardness of the film are determined on glass for photographic plates measuring 9´12 - 1.2 according to TU 21-0284461-058–90. The mass fraction of volatile and film-forming substances, the degree of grinding, and viscosity are determined in undiluted paint. If the viscosity of paints increases above the norm when diluting the paint with white spirit (nefrasom-C4-155/200) in an amount of no more than 5%, the conditional viscosity must correspond to clause 4 of the table. 2.
Before testing, the paint is mixed, diluted with white spirit (nefras-S4-155/200) (GOST 3134-78) to a viscosity of 65–80 s using a VZ-246 (or VZ-4) viscometer, filtered through a sieve with a mesh 056 GOST 6613–86 and applied with a brush to those prepared in accordance with GOST 8832–76, section. 3 records. To determine the drying time and hardness, the paint is applied in one layer, to determine the dumpling's resistance to the static effects of water and conditional light fastness - in two layers. When determining the color, the paint is applied until the substrate is completely covered. Each layer of paint is dried at (20±2) °C for 24 hours. The thickness of a single-layer coating after drying should be 25 - 30 microns, a double-layer coating - 50 - 60 microns.

4.2. The color of the dried paint film is determined by visual comparison with the color of the corresponding samples (standards) of the “Card Index” color or control color samples in natural or artificial daylight diffused light. The samples to be compared should be in the same plane at a distance of 300 - 500 mm from the observer’s eyes at a viewing angle that excludes surface gloss. In case of disagreement in the assessment, the determination of color in natural daylight is taken as the final result.

4.3. The mass fraction of film-forming substance and volatile substance in the paint is determined according to GOST 17537–72. The solvent used is acetone (GOST 2768-84) or a mixture of acetone and ethyl alcohol (GOST 17299-78) in a ratio of 3:2 by volume, or toluene (GOST 9880-76).
When determining the mass fraction of a volatile substance, a sample of the test paint weighing 1.5 - 2 g is placed in a drying oven and maintained at a temperature of (140 ± 2) °C. The first weighing is carried out after 1.5 hours of exposure in the cabinet, and subsequent weighings are carried out every 30 minutes until constant weight.
It is allowed to determine the mass fraction of a volatile substance under an infrared lamp at a temperature of (140±2) °C.
In case of disagreement in the assessment of the mass fraction of volatile substances, the final result is determination in an oven.

4.4. The conditional viscosity of the paint is determined using a viscometer type VZ-246 (or VZ-4) with a nozzle diameter of 4 mm.

4.7. Drying time to degree 3 is determined according to GOST 19007–73, and it is possible to remove the paper with a light brush or by blowing it off without damaging the film.

Irradiation of the film is carried out for the time specified in subparagraph 9, table. 2.
Irradiated samples are examined with the naked eye and compared with non-irradiated samples. Slight color changes and slight dulling of the paint film are allowed.

4.10. The resistance of the film to the static impact of the hearth is determined according to GOST 9.403–80, section. 2. In this case, after exposure to water and for the period of time specified in subparagraph 10 of the table. 2, the samples are kept in air at (20±2) °C for 2 hours and the appearance of the film is examined with the naked eye. The film should not collapse, peel, wrinkle, or bubble. Slight matting and slight change in color of the paint film are allowed.

5. PACKAGING, LABELING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
5.1. Packaging - according to GOST 9980.3–86, gr. 13.
5.2. Marking - according to GOST 9980.4–86.
When marking transport containers, a danger sign must be applied according to GOST 19433–88 (class 3, classification code 3313).
5.3. Transportation and storage - according to GOST 9980.5–86.
5.4. Method of application of oil paints, ready for use, intended for retail, listed in Appendix 1.

6. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
6.1. The manufacturer guarantees that ready-to-use oil paints comply with the requirements of this standard, subject to storage and transportation conditions.
6.2. Guaranteed shelf life is six months from the date of manufacture.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
OIL AND ALKYD PAINTS, READY TO USE, INTENDED FOR RETAIL TRADE NETWORKS
Oil paints, ready for use, are used for exterior and interior finishing works (except for painting floors) and for painting metal and wooden products.
Before application, mix the paint thoroughly. To thin the paint, if necessary, use gasoline solvent for the paint and varnish industry, thinner for oil paints, and turpentine.
The paint is applied with a brush or roller in an even layer on a dry surface, previously cleaned of grease, dust, dirt and old peeling paint, in one or two layers. Drying time for each layer at (20±2) °C is 24 hours.
Paint consumption for single-layer coatings is 55–240 g/m2, depending on the color.
Store paints in tightly closed containers, protect from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.
Precautionary measures: when carrying out painting work, as well as after its completion, it is necessary to thoroughly ventilate the room; use rubber gloves to protect your hands.

This standard applies to ready-to-use oil paints, which are a suspension of pigments (or pigments and fillers) in various drying oils with the introduction of a drier, as well as additives (aerooil, hazel, etc.) that prevent the formation of dense sediment, or without them.
Ready-to-use oil paints are intended for exterior and interior finishing works (except for painting floors) and for painting metal and wooden products.
Oil paint coatings for exterior use (two coats on metal) should retain their protective properties in a temperate climate throughout the year.
Paints are applied to the surface with a brush, spray gun or roller.
The requirements of this standard are mandatory.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Ready-to-use oil paints must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard according to recipes and technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
2.2. Ready-to-use oil paints should be available in the following colors:
cream, beige, dark gray, light blue, light blue, dark yellow, pistachio, green, red-brown, dark red, brown - for external coatings;
cream, orange-beige, beige, dark gray, light blue, blue, blue, dark yellow, yellow-green, pistachio, green, red, cherry, red-brown, brown, light gray-green, light gray , light beige, pink-beige - for indoor coatings.

This standard applies to ready-to-use oil paints, which are a suspension of pigments (or pigments and fillers) in various drying oils with the introduction of a drier, as well as additives (aerosil, lecithin, etc.) that prevent the formation of dense sediment, or without them.
Ready-to-use oil paints are intended for exterior and interior finishing works (except for painting floors) and for painting metal and wooden products.
Oil paint coatings for exterior use (two coats on metal) should retain their protective properties in a temperate climate throughout the year.
Paints are applied to the surface with a brush, spray gun or roller.
The requirements of this standard are mandatory.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Ready-to-use oil paints must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard but according to formulations and technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
2.2. Ready-to-use oil paints should be available in the following colors:
cream, beige, dark gray, light blue, light blue, dark yellow, pistachio, green, red-brown, dark red, brown - for external coatings;
